The high temperature for this day was 46 F and the low was 31 F. This is a range of 15 degrees. The average as calculated by taking the mean of all the temperatures is about 39.2 F. The average as calculated by taking the mean of the high and low temperature is 38.5 F. This is a percentage of difference of 2%. For this data set, that means that the two averages are relatively close and could be substituted. However, if the range of the temperatures was greater, this would not be the case. PHYS Blog Assignment #6, Justin Matthews: My question would be, how well are you holding up in New Mexico if you enjoy the rain? My favorite weather pattern is summer thunderstorms. In Florida summer they happen every afternoon due to the convergence of the Gulf and Atlantic sea breezes. The desert is awesome but sand storms are a pretty poor substitution for actual weather.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! New Mexico is fine. It has a special kind of magic in its beauty. I love the mountains and the way that there is space. I am finding that there are more and more places I love for the views. Also, the rain here (when it does rain) is warm enough to go running in. Can't do that most of the time in Portland and I like that new habit. Also SNOW!!! Probably don't get that much in Florida... or Australia.
